Sun City Center is known as a 55+ golf cart community. Cars, bikes, golf carts and all other vehicles share the roads in the neighborhood.

There are about 5,000 golf carts in the city and one out of every 4 residents own one. Some people choose not to have a car at all and rely solely on their carts.

There are three intersections that allow carts to cross SR 674 for more choices to shop to do activities.

The speed limit for golf carts on all roads is 20 mph – no matter what the postings read.

According to the U.S. Government Census, the 2010 population count in Sun City Center was 18,069 with total households at 11,127.
