Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) is a flowering plant that is commonly found on the Southern Live Oak  (Quercus virginiana) and on the Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum) in Sun City Center, Florida.

The moss has many uses from packing material to arts and crafts. In the early 1900s the plant was used as padding for car seats.
